What Is the Shinjuku Showdown Event?
The Shinjuku Showdown is a community vote event centered around the battle between Brojo and Sukuno. When entering the event, you choose between Brojo's Six Eyes faction or Sukuno's King of Curses faction. Players can change their allegiance once every 24 hours. Earning victory on either side awards exclusive badges, including Domain Clash, Six Eyes Believer, and King's Disciple.
During the event, eight districts remain contested, with one district at stake each day. Winning districts rewards the conquering side with District Chests and 100 Cursed Objects for the leaderboard winners. From wave 5 onward across stages, fighters belonging to the opposing camp join incoming waves every three rounds. Defeating each camp fighter yields 1 Showdown Token.

How Do You Farm Showdown Tokens and Shop Items?
Showdown Tokens are the main currency earned during the showdown, used directly in the Showdown Shop to obtain exclusive unit capsules and unit evolution reagents.

How Do You Clear the Shinjuku Legend Stage?
The Shinjuku Showdown Legend Stage is an endgame challenge unlocked after clearing Hidden Ground Act 6. It consists of three acts featuring encounter mechanics:
- Bosses become immune to damage upon reaching 50% health until phase conditions are met.
- Bosses gain shields while active curses remain on the map.
- Bosses utilize Mahoraga's adaptation mechanics, summons, and enrage timers.
Clearing each act for the first time rewards 180 Gems on Normal difficulty and 360 Gems on Nightmare difficulty. Running stages on Nightmare doubles item drop yields. Defeating Legend Stage bosses rewards exclusive materials:
- Six Eyes Shard: Found in Acts 1, 2, and 3.
- Shrine Fragment: Found in Acts 1, 2, and 3.
- Prison Realm Cube: Rare drop from Act 2.
- Mahoraga's Wheel: Rare drop from Act 2.
- Kamutoke: Rare drop from Act 3.
- Infinite Void Fragment: Rare drop from Act 3.
- Demon Moon Eye: Drops in Act 3 on Nightmare with Kokushibu (Moon Breathing) deployed on the field.
Which Event Units Should You Build?
Choosing which units to prioritize depends on whether you need targeted enemy debuffs, screen-wide slashes, or end-tier boss scaling.
| Unit Choice | Best Scenario | Material Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Brojo (Shinjuku Victor) | Boss debuffing and crowd slowdown | Settle Showdown where Brojo defeats Sukuno; requires level 80 |
| Sukuno (Shinjuku Victor) | High-density wave clearing via Dismantle and bleed | Settle Showdown where Sukuno defeats Brojo; requires level 80 |
| Gokuna | Maximum hybrid damage, 40% slow, and permanent 35% buff | Brojo vs Sukuno, Fusion Core, 50 Red Star Essences, 100 Rainbow Star Essences, ¥5,000,000 |
Brojo vs Sukuno evolves from either base Shinjuku variant at Merlyn once the unit reaches level 80. Evolving Sukuno (Shinjuku) requires 1 Mahoraga's Wheel, 1 Kamutoke, 25 Shrine Fragments, 20 Red Star Essences, and 40 Rainbow Star Essences. Evolving Brojo (Shinjuku) requires 1 Prison Realm Cube, 1 Infinite Void Fragment, 25 Six Eyes Shards, 20 Red Star Essences, and 40 Rainbow Star Essences.
To forge Gokuna, talk to Sukuno in the Curse Lair with Brojo vs Sukuno in your team. Mei Hatsume crafts the necessary Fusion Core using 1 Infinity Core, 1 Malevolent Seal, 30 Clash Fragments, and 1,000,000 Yen.
How Do Curses Work in the Curse Lair?
Curses are secondary modifications offered by Sukuno inside the Curse Lair behind the lobby door. Sukuno applies one of 11 distinct curses to a unit in exchange for a Cursed Object. Each curse grants an offensive combat bonus paired with an operational drawback, coexisting alongside normal unit traits.
Pity guarantees a Mythic or better curse within 120 attempts, and a Secret curse within 500 attempts. Curses applied to your units remain permanently bound even after the event concludes. Sukuno's Fingers can also be acquired through the daily Finger Hunt held between 19:00 and 20:00 UTC, where Joegu drops two fingers per wave.
